Q1: What do you each do for a living?

J: I’m a Job Coach for the Lafayette School Corporation, I help special needs students to develop life skills.

D: I am a maintenance Supervisor at Purdue

.

Q2: How did you get into Crossfit?

J: Both of my daughters do Crossfit and they suggested that I give it a try.

D: We have been involved in strength training for several years. Judy and my Daughters talked me into trying it a couple years ago. I started with HERO WODs I quickly realized this is what was missing from my weekly routine.

.

Q3: What is your favorite CF movement? Why?

J: Thrusters- it’s a full body workout.

D: Thrusters. I like the challenge and ability to work multiple muscle groups with one movement.

.

Q4: What is your least favorite CF movement? Why?

J: Ooh so many!!! Box jumps, double unders and so on. JK, I’ve seen several of my own children come home from workouts with split open shines… and DUs, 3 in a row is my limit!

D: It is a toss up between the one I am about to do and the one I just finished. Actually pull ups, they are very difficult for me to do.

.

Q5: What do you like most about Uncommon?

J: All the members are motivating during the workouts and are so supportive. Coaches are engaging and will help you succeed in your goals.

D: The extra hour I spend with Judy and the Family atmosphere. Everyone are very friendly and take time to see how you are doing.

.

Q6: What have you learned most about yourselves in the time that you have been members at Uncommon?

J: That I’m stronger than I thought I was.. I have never had access to facilities like Uncommon Gym. Now that I do, I’m able to progress quickly.

D: Most limitations for me were mental. A years ago I never thought I would be able to do box jumps or power cleans again . Now I look forward to the challenge.

.

Q7: What are your guilty pleasures?

J: Pizza, Margaritas, Caramel Apples this week!

D: Nachos ( I have been told numerous times by my family that they are not their own food group) and anything Sweet!!

.

Q8: How long have you been married and how did you meet?

J: We’ve been married for 41 years and have 4 wonderful children. Dave and i met in high school. Dave was a big bad linebacker and I was a cheerleader. A match made in heaven!

D: 41 years. We met in High School.
